I have had some time to think about what I will do next. After a lot of thinking back and forth, my two options are:
- Prepare for CCIE Route/Switch v5
- Start a completely new track.
I have decided that R&S isn’t for me. After four attempts on v4 and the toll the last test took on me, which, by the way, Cisco CCIE Support did not handle well. I have decided I am going to start on the Data Center track. This was a hard decision for me to make. I was so close to getting my number in my last three attempts, but this is for the best. I don’t want to be “that guy” Dave talks about who took a lab more times than I want to say in this post. This is precisely what I wanted to do if I passed Route/Switch, and I am excited about embarking on this new challenge.
I work with almost all the Nexus platforms and the ACE (I know) Loadbalancer at my current employer. I have a little exposure to UCS. If someone told me to configure a basic SAN network, the outcome would not be good; thinking about it, I would not be as lucky as Hugh Jackman from the movie Swordfish.
Now that I am on the fast road to being 100% again, I plan to tackle CCNA DC.
Stay tuned for some good posts coming up!
